Dr.Anwar graduated from King
Edward Medical College Lahore Pakistan in 1965.
He joined The Glasgow Eye Infirmary for his Ophthalmic training in
1969 where he worked as Senior House Surgeon and then Registrar
before he moved to Southern General Hospital in Glasgow. Both of
these institutions are teaching departments of Glasgow University.
He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh and
The Royal College of Ophthalmologists in London.

In 1980 he was appointed a
consultant ophthalmologist in Stirling Royal Infirmary.
In 1983 he went to Riyadh to take up a teaching post and on his
return in 1992 he was again appointed a consultant ophthalmologist
and an examiner for FRCS at the Royal College of Physicians and
surgeons of Glasgow.
For his outstanding career in
Ophthalmology he was elected a fellow of the American College of
Surgeons in Chicago in 1990. He is on the Specialist register of
the General Medical Council and is a certified Refractive Laser
Surgeon by The Royal College of Ophthalmologists in London.
Dr Anwar joined Optimax in 1998 and
has trained a number of Surgeons at Optimax.
He has performed in excess of ten thousand laser procedures at
Optimax.
