"The idea of having laser eye surgery became more and more
appealing, especially since I had a family wedding coming up.

As I booked my aftercare appointment for next week, I felt
relieved and excited but more than anything else I felt slightly
frustrated with myself. Why did I not do this years ago? Why was I
so nervous? As I drove myself home this afternoon, I just felt
excited at the prospect of telling everybody. A rainy, dark day in
Belfast has never seemed so bright…"
