Consultant, had IntraLase Wavefront LASIK laser eye treatment in September 2008.
Treated by Dr Fink at Optimax Manchester Laser Eye Clinic.
"Before, I couldn’t have a proper night out
because my contact lenses used to dry up; I didn’t used to like
wearing my glasses on social occasions, so, complete difference
now. I can stay out as long as I want, -whole weekend if needs
be.
I couldn’t see where I was going when I was
swimming. Now, completely different ball game altogether. I can
spend as long as I want in the pool, in the Jacuzzi, in the steam
room, and nothing concerns me, at all.
Morning after treatment, there was no pain whatsoever. My eyes
were slightly dry, slightly prickly, but nothing that I couldn’t,
nothing any worse than wearing my contact lenses for an
evening.
Best thing about the treatment is my quality
of life now. And before I go to bed, not having to mess around with
contact lenses. Glasses, not steaming up when it’s hot weather, or
in the rain. That is just completely fantastic."
