in 1999 and says its the best thing she has ever done. Her friends

Janet's story - LASEK
I have worn glasses since the age
of seven and was very short-sighted (–6 in both eyes). I wore
contact lenses since age 16 and no one ever saw me in glasses as
they had huge thick lenses.
In 1999 I eventually had Lasek
treatment. It was the best thing that I have ever done. My contact
lenses used to dry out as I wore them constantly but now
socialising and travelling I have no problems. I also have friends
and family who have had the treatment.
