Mr Aaron Ng is a Consultant Ophthalmologist and Corneal surgeon at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust with special interest in Cataract Surgery, Refractive Surgery and Corneal and External Disease.

Having completed his medical degree at King’s College London and surgical ophthalmology training at the West Midlands School of Ophthalmology, his areas of expertise include cataract and refractive surgery, corneal surgery including collagen cross-linking, pterygium surgery and corneal transplantation. He has completed more than 1600 surgeries in all of these areas combined.

Throughout his impressive career he has shown great management skills by introducing systemic changes to cataract surgery practice.

His impressive accolades include the prestigious Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists Congress Audit Prize in 2016 for his work on quality  improvements in cataract surgery. He has won the AMO Prize for Best Paper at the British Society for Refractive Surgery in March 2017 as well as the South Thames Foundation School Audit, Teaching and Portfolio Prizes in 2010 and 2011.

In addition to his keen interest in improving clinical outcomes, he is also a reviewer for the West Midlands Quality Review Service and is well published in various high impact  journals including Ophthalmology and Nature Journal.
