YAG Laser Capsulometry

YAG Laser Capsulometry Video

After lens replacement surgery there is a possibility of developing a secondary cataract. This is a condition whereby the skin of the old lens becomes cloudy. About 10% of patients will suffer this complication and it can occur at any time following surgery. It is easily treated with a quick laser treatment (YAG laser capsulometry). No anaesthetic is needed for the procedure, meaning you are conscious during the treatment. An inclusive list of rarer complications is given to you at consultation.
