Safe and secure vision correction treatment

2020 has been a year like no other. Nationwide lockdowns have brought a new way of life for millions of people across the UK, whether that’s working from home more than in pre-pandemic times, doing most of your shopping online, or embracing Zoom parties instead of in-person meet ups.

While lots of the businesses and shops you are used to visiting may be closed, Optimax clinics are very much open, even throughout lockdowns. As we are in the healthcare sector, we are still able to provide treatments and appointments to patients who are interested in vision correction procedures.

We have implemented every necessary precaution to ensure the safety of our patients and staff, including:

  1. Temperature checks

All of our patients and staff have their temperatures checked upon entering our clinics. We use thermal non-contact thermometers and only allow patients and staff with temperatures of 38.0 degrees Celsius or below into the clinic.

  1. Personal protective equipment (PPE)

In line with government guidance, we request that all patients wear a face mask for their time in the clinic. This is for both their own safety, as well as that of our staff. Our surgeons, optometrists, nurses and patient advisors are also required to wear face masks in the clinic.

  1. Hand sanitiser

We have placed hand sanitising stations throughout our clinics, particularly around high touch points, making sure they are easily accessible to our patients and staff.

  1. Social distancing

We’ve got social distancing markers in place throughout our clinics, including in our patient waiting areas. Our patient advisors and optometrists are also maintaining a 2 metre distance between themselves and patients where possible (although some eye examinations require staff to be closer than 2 meters).

  1. Cleaning our clinics

As well as regular deep cleans of all Optimax clinics, we have further enhanced our strict hygiene protocols to ensure that our facilities and equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitised after each use.

  1. Staggering appointments

We are carefully organising our bookings and appointments to avoid overcrowding in our clinics. We also kindly ask patients to attend on their own when possible, to reduce the overall number of people passing though the clinics.

Start your journey to 20/20 vision

Clear, natural vision is still important, even when we’re living in lockdown, or in regional tier levels. You still rely on good vision day to day, and the inconveniences of glasses and contacts haven’t gone away during the last 10 months. Rest assured that, at Optimax, we’re doing everything in our power to create safe and hygienic environments in our clinics, in order for you, our patients, to feel happy and comfortable receiving treatment.

You can reach us on 0800 093 1110 or by emailing enquiry@optimax.co.uk, to receive further information on our range of vision correction treatment options. Alternatively, you can book in for your free consultation here to check if you’re suitable for treatment.

We look forward to seeing you in your closest clinic!
